Why measure?

Why measuring sustainable employability matters

Insight into sustainable employability is crucial. Without concrete data, organisations often act on assumptions. By measuring, you understand how employees feel and function, and can identify problems early.

Without measurement you risk:

Interventions with little effect
Investments without measurable results
Absenteeism only noticed after dropout
With data you act on:
  • Absenteeism prevention
  • Work happiness
  • Work capacity
  • Sustainable employability
DIX
Sustainable Employability Index (TNO)

Developed on the basis of scientific research by TNO. Measures themes at organisational, team and group level.

  • General health
  • Mental workload
  • Work happiness
  • Future perspective
  • Work-life balance
The methodology

What does the DIX measure?

VitsAll works with TNO to measure sustainable employability. The DIX, developed on the basis of scientific research, measures five core themes — general health, mental workload, work happiness, future perspective and work-life balance — at organisational, team and group level.

This way you know exactly where risks and opportunities lie within your organisation.

The measurement process

How do you measure sustainable employability?

You measure sustainable employability with a validated questionnaire that employees complete anonymously. VitsAll uses the TNO DIX for this. Results are reported at organisational, team and group level, so you see exactly where employability is under pressure.

01

Send out the questionnaire

Employees complete the DIX questionnaire anonymously, on average 10-15 minutes per person.

02

Measure five themes

The DIX measures general health, mental workload, work happiness, future perspective and work-life balance.

03

Reporting per level

You gain insight at organisational, team and group level — never traceable to a single person.

04

From insight to action

We translate the results into targeted interventions, together with our network of 500+ partners.

Measuring is the first step; the next is tackling absenteeism with purpose. Read how to reduce absenteeism based on these insights.
